Default pros and cons of 4 link front suspensions

I have been reading up on triangulated 4 link front ends and was wondering if there are any real pros and cons on switching from a twin leaf style suspension to 4 link. I eventually want to switch out some or all of the suspension for air ride and was figuring on using the triangulated 4 link front and rear suspension and running air ride from there. So any help is appreciated. Just to add to this a little more it would be for the econoline and when driving down the road it would still be normal height but lowered while parked.
Playing the hurry up and wait game of life.

Default Re: pros and cons of 4 link front suspensions

I'm not much help on the advantages/disadvantages but I just saw that car that kept the main spring(monospring) and ran air bags on top of it. It eliminates the need for a 4-link by using the spring for locating the axle. Owners wanted it drive low but needed some height to get over speed bumps and his driveway.
I cut this wire times and it's still too short.
