Default Brian's stuff

Father of 2, husband of 1, owner of 8 VWs and a Gold Wing.

The VWs that sort of fit here are:
1964 Notchback w/ no top, midengine and big (for a VW) engine 144ci.
1964 Notchback with 2110cc engine, big/little tires, custom interior, American Racing "Lemans" vintage wheels
1972 Notchback drag car project with turbo and 4 barrel

The Gold Wing is currently a cruiser, but is going to be converted into a Cafe bike. This is the 2nd time I've owned this bike, and it will get the Cafe treatment soon. I've done this once before with a GL1100 and I really loved that bike.

I've started the bike's transition today... I will be doing this without ever taking the bike off the road. One little thing at a time. Today, lost the running boards, heal toe shifter and measured for the clubman bars...

I just received my clubman bars... so, off with the cruiser windscreen and bars and on with the cafe conversion stuff! I'm waiting on my bar end mirrors to arrive. I'm also trying to decide if I should chop the front fender or just lose it altogether.

So far the front fender is off, the clubman bars are on and the mirrors are 3 days away.

I bought me a sportster front fender today. Much less mass than my current fender and still coverage enough for wet weather riding I just have to modify the fender mount and then I need to paint the thing.

changes! no more lollipop mirrors and remove that HUGE tail light assembly and replaced it with an LED brake/running/signals unit.
